The Legacy Project was created to encourage you to make a difference in the lives of others.
I’m committed to improving the lives of others not only through speaking and coaching, but through charitable giving and volunteer work.
In 2010, I was exposed to the realities of human trafficking while I was traveling for work in South Korea. The “house” next to the hotel where I was staying was raided by the South Korean police & Air Force Office of Special Investigations.
Just hundreds of yards away from me, 12 women & girls were freed from human slavery. It was such a surreal experience.
I should have noticed the bars on the windows and the shoes outside the patio (all different sizes), but to my untrained brain those signs never registered as a dangerous situation for the women inside. I wasn’t a good advocate back then, but now part of my mission and calling is to raise awareness about Human Trafficking and fight modern day slavery.
Proverbs 31:8 - “Speak for those who cannot speak for themselves, ensure justice for those being crushed.”
At this time I’ve partnered with two organizations that are involved in the fight against Human Trafficking both here in the US and abroad. The first one is The Exodus Road, a non-profit organization that fights human trafficking by supporting targeted interventions and rescues. Currently I’m donating 15% of all profits from speaking & training events to The Exodus Road.
The second one I have partnered with is Restoration Innocence, a non-profit supporting survivors with immediate supplies at the point of rescue, in the form of Restoration Bags, and by providing mentoring for victims and their families. For each coaching client I enroll, one Restoration Bag is donated each month they are participating in my coaching programs.
Maybe Human Trafficking isn’t your cause, and that’s okay. I’d challenge you to look around to see how you can get more involved with the causes that speak to you.
Maybe you want to help fight childhood cancer, support local missionaries, or support Veterans with PTSD…regardless of the cause, your support helps!
