Who Am I?

As I get closer and closer to my military retirement date, I am starting to notice how stressful the transition out of service can be.

What I’ve noticed most, is not the things I expected to see, the stress around moving back to a permanent home, finding a new job, figuring out how in the heck to translate military experiences into a civilian resume, although these have all been mentioned, it’s the hollowness I see when someone says, “I don’t know who I am without the uniform.”

UGH…gut-wrenching!
